I recently got my son a 3 to 4 month old ball python. My ex and I had three together . They seem more comfortable with people than our new addition. You could walk around with them around your neck or handle them without causing any stress. My son and I are taking turns handing the snake a couple times each day for a short period of time to slowly acclimate the snake to people. Sharpe (the ball) seems to be a little more timid than the others were off the start. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. Any advice for socializing our new ball python??
what your doing is good continue to do that, also do not feed it in his cage. Buy something that you can put him in to feed him because if you feed him in his cage, when you open it to take him out or whatever he'll bite you because he'll think you are feeding him! goood luck Any advice for socializing our new ball python??
I've owned snakes for 13 years, and have a ball python my self. When you say timid, does he just stay coiled up in a ball, or does he try and strike? If he just likes to be up in a ball, i've found with mine, i'll gently unravel her and once she sees there's no danger then she'll crawl around just fine. If it tries to nip, the best thing you can do is just try to keep holding her as often as possible. As i'm sure you know ball pythons are usually pretty friendly. However, as with any animal, sometimes, there's nothing you can do, and that's their temperment, just being grumpy all the time. I had one snake like that, I had him from the time he was a baby to 5 ft, and he was always nipping no matter how much I tried to hold him. Anyways, hope this helped.
I'd just give him some time. About 10-15 min. a day of just holding him helps, though I've had a couple that always stayed a little ';head shy';, just depends on your snake. The following site might also help.

that is just his habit to be timid you shouldn't introduce him to other people until he is completely comfortable with you ( doesn't bite at ALL) when you have finished then you can slowly introduce him to other people

I began a business in NYC. I massage feet for a living. I am new to owning and running this. Any advice?
I advertise on Craigslist.I began a business in NYC. I massage feet for a living. I am new to owning and running this. Any advice?
Is the location accessible?. You have to advertise it more than Craigslist. Is it in the classified ads; in the yellow pages in big pages of advertisement. You have to make it attractive so people can see it immediately. You gotta give coupons to first time customers. Also, you might consider manicure and pedicure to go with it as massaging feet is too limited. How about body massages? Be careful it doesn't turn into a prostituton site.

Need advice on buying a new laptop?
My 5 year old Emachines is acting up and I was told by PC repairman just wasn't worth fixing. He suggested that if I buy a new laptop I should go with either Fujitsu or Lenovo (apparently these are built the best and most reliable according to him) He also said that anything built by HP, Emachines or gateway were not dependable. I'm looking to spend around $1,000 but would be interested in a more expensive model if it really had great quality. I'll be using the laptop primarily for law school, but I am a gamer so a laptop that takes that into account would be nice too.
From what I've said above what laptop would you suggest.Need advice on buying a new laptop?
You can't go wrong and I recommend Dell! There are hidden long-run costs that one does not initially see when you purchase a Notebook PC other than Dell, HP or IBM and later encounter difficulties or attempt buying replacement parts like a battery, or say a keyboard etc.
We own 3 Dell Notebook PCs and why I recommend DELL, HP or IBM for those living in the United States is that those 3 particular PC Notebook manufacturers literally supply all the business Notebook PCs to the major corporations and Government so replacement parts are readily available esp on EBAY at even a more reasonable price than the manufacturer website. Thus in the long run, being able to get the exact replacement part extends the life on your investment.
FYI my 1st Notebook PC was Gateway bec I couldn't afford Dell at the time and what a mistake is was when I needed to purchase a new Notebook battery %26lt;= costly bec not readily available like Dells... and FYI I also ran into a similar problem when attempting to upgrade the memory.
Note if you are looking for DELL bargains, then visit their DELL OUTLET site...
Hope the Above Info Helps!Need advice on buying a new laptop?
You really need to look at the components inside the laptop before juding a laptop ont he brand name. I would go with Lenova over Fujitsu, but Lenova can be pricey. Have you considered Toshiba or Sony? I had a Sony Vaio laptop that was a work horse. It handled anything I threw at it. I sold it and switch to Apple but I have no regrets with the Sony line.spots

Advice Please ..Starting at a new college?
I'm leaving behind all my mates from school, and I get dead nervous about meeting new people what should I do?Advice Please ..Starting at a new college?
Be friendly, and confident, but not arrogant! Try and talk to as many as people as you can. If you talk to one person, you will feel like just clinging on to that one person, but DONT! talk to as MANY people as possible, because if you just cling onto one, it will be hard to talk to others later on through college if you and that person have a falling out, or you realise you really have nothing in common and they get on your nerves!! All in all, try and be yourself, which is easier said than done in nervous situations, but I think overall, just be friendly and talk to as many people as you can, and then you will see which people you actualy like, and who likes you etc. Hope that wasnt too confusing or patronising!!!
P.S I have changed schools plenty of times, and when I moved to a different school for sixth form (so college like you), this one girl clinged on to me so bad, and because I was nervous and it was known to be a stuck up school, I was happy she did, and I ended up not knowing anybody else, and that girl annoyed the hell outta me!!!
Good luck with it all, you will be fine!!!!!! x x x x x xAdvice Please ..Starting at a new college?
Be yourself. when there are things to do you do them, don't go off in a corner. everyone else there or at least 90% of them are in the same situation. say Hi, that's it makes a great ice breaker. Make friends with all who say hi to you. You'll do just fine
Just be yourself and enjoy the experience,i'm sure you'l discover that your not the only person in this situation so it'l probably be very easy to make new friends. this is going to be one of the best experiences of your life so just remember not to over-think it and have a great time! you can still have all your old friends but make lots of new ones too! enjoy! x
Quite simply, be yourself. If you are yourself and friendly people will talk to you and you'll get a new group of friends too. Also, if you have to work in a group with people then introduce yourself and get them to tell you who you are too.
hun thats always the case when meeting new people i was the same but once u get used to the place u will feel compfy just be urself and u should be fine u will make friends in no time

Advice on what to feed new akita pup 3 months new?
I give my golden retriever a grain free, one protein, one carb diet, which is Dick Van Pattons Natural Balance, sweet potato and fish. His ears are great now, and he hardly ever scoots along the carpet as he used to, and has far less skin problems. His former vet wanted to do surgery to remove his anal sacs, but I changed his diet, and by the way, his vet also. Am happy I considered diet first, and spared my golden unnecessary surgery !! I have a 3 month old akita pup, and wonder is this diet healthy for a puppy also? He was on Eukanuba for puppies but was very itchy. I gradually changed to the same brand of grain free for him also. Is this diet good for an Akita pup ?Advice on what to feed new akita pup 3 months new?
Yes, Eukanuba is crap food! Good thing you are going with Natural Balance. Natural Balance is a GREAT food!
A 4 out of 6 star food.

Natural Balance is an awesome food. Eukanuba is full of fillers and by-products which was why your puppy was itchy.
Make sure you socialize your Akita a lot. They can become very aggressive dogs. Socialize with people, kids, dogs, pretty much everything. Invest in some training classes-this is a must.
The better the food the better and healthier the pet..Never if you can avoid it have the anal sacs removed. This will cause loose stools and no control over his stools. If you want, a tiny bit of Benefiber on the food 2x's a week will help keep him stay regular..So always try an alternative first before any major surgery..
This food should be fine for your pup
Avoderm it has avocados that make the dogs coat healthy it smells like canned meat my dog they just don't eat thier dry food or canned food they only eat it mixed together but you don't need to do it

Any advice for a Mother of a 4 year old acting out at pre-school due to a new baby in the house?
My Older son was never a perfect angel, he was always full of mischief, and loved being the center of attention. I was surprised how good he was about having a little brother and how good natured and loving he seemed to him. about a couple of months ago as my younger one started becoming more needy of attention, especially when he's sick with ear infections, my Older son started misbehaving terribly at school, hittining, being fresh, not listening, arguing with teachers and children, even trying to bite. I've tried having special time, explaining that I love them both the same, punishing, threatening, even explaining to him that when he hurts other people he hurts me (he seems to only care about my feelings) Please help I'm at my wits end!!!!!!!!Any advice for a Mother of a 4 year old acting out at pre-school due to a new baby in the house?
Sounds like he is getting a lot of attention now that he is acting out. All of the focus is back on him. Children are smart.
He has to learn to adjust to having a sibling. Children are resilient. He will be fine sharing his parents. Stop worrying about it. He can sense it.
At 4 he understands a lot more than you think. Set up a meeting with his teacher and bring him along. Make this a serious, formal time. Together give him your expectations at school. Let him know how he will behave, exactly, and what happens if he doesnt' do that. You can do whatever works for you all - a reward system, time outs, spankings, etc. Let him know the consequence at school and then what will be followed at home. When you get the daily report let him know that you are disappointed and he needs to take his consequence. Stay firm. On days that he gets good reports shower him with love and attention. Brag on him, play a game, etc. Don't BUY hm anything - just praise him with your words and attention. Call Grandma and tell her, etc. In the morning remind him again how you couldn't stop smiling because of how well he behaved!
Don't make excuses for his behavior. He will use that to his advantage as much as he can. I teach 4 year old preschool and have a 4 year old of my own so I know! :)
Good Luck. SDAny advice for a Mother of a 4 year old acting out at pre-school due to a new baby in the house?
All children act differently to changes in their envoirnment. Having a little brother may have been easy because of all the ';hype'; but once lil brother got sick and he got most of the attention them your older son got jealous. Acting out at school is not uncommon. ask the school if they have a social worker whom you could talk to and maybe they could help your older son thru this...it's nothing to be ashamed about but he may be having trouble expressing to you how he really feals and maybe having a 3rd party to talk to could give you a new insight on how to handle the situation.
