Advice on buying a new digital camera?

wanna buy a Digital SLR camera already looking at a nikon but i wanna know if i can take picture in a fast way with them

If its burst speed your after, the fastest nikon is the D2xs with its high speed crop mode. But it makes the resolution of the pics only 6.8 megapixel. Canon's 1D Mark II n can burst slightly faster and its resolution while doing so is 8.2 megapixel. In addition, the canon has a smaller focal conversion factor of 1.3x vs the Nikon at 1.5x. Meaning the sensor is physcally bigger. Bigger pixels are better pixles.Advice on buying a new digital camera?
I'm not sure about the Nikon, but the Pentax K10D does have the continous shooting mode (3 frames/second), which is what it sounds like you're looking for. I got the K10D a couple months ago and it worked wonderfully when I photographed a fashion show (runway, like you said).
