Need advice on making friends, new school?

honestly the one thing i want right now is to make friends at my new High school. i want to come out of my shell and just learn how to talk to people. i want them to like me. i just want friends who are cool, people like me. i don't want any weirdos or emo/goths because that's not me at all. how do i make friends??

Just be yourself, you don't want to change who you are in order to attract friends. If you act like yourself, eventually you'll attract people who are like you. That being said, don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone to talk to someone, if you see someone eating alone at lunch, then go and sit with them (if they aren't too weird).





Something else that you can do is try to talk to people in your classes as you are leaving or before class. BY making one new friend in a class you get to meet their friends and then you get to meet their friends etc.

I think sometimes you have to put yourself out there. You have to be comfortable with yourself that you can just have casual conversation with others. Don't let fear consume you, step outside the box and take the leap. Show people who you are and that you are strong and able to stand on your own. People will see these qualities and be drawn to you.
I think you just need to be yourself. smile at people. be nice. don't judge people so hard. if they like you, they do anyway. if you're doing things you dont normally do, people will know, sooner or later. and nobody like hypocrites.

Just Find someone that looks as though they like the same things as u. say hey! and start a conversation. even give them a gift or 2 for christmas and their b-day. Don't go to fast though, or they might think ur being pushy.
:D Be you, be nice, friendly, kind. :D And relax-it's not your execution. XD It's high school.
start talking to people and pretend you really like them like say stupid things like ';i love you'; and stuff and soon u will have a nice group of friends.
