Social advice on making freinds in a new city

I am moving to a new City for University so I hope it will be a fresh start, I am VERY nervous about making freinds as I have been bullied a lot and have never found it easy to socialise, I really want to try my best, please can anyone give me advice/hints/tips or ANYTHING to help me make freinds easier?

firstly i am sorry that you have come across arrogant ignorant insecure bulllies !! *** holes firstly you can make a fresh start be yourself try and be happy with who you are and then take one of your interests and purse it go to a group where you will met like minded people make small talk but dont be overbearing and push a conversation if its not wanted but dont shy off on your own eitheras this can put people off try inside feeling confident that is a big plus you can just pretend to yourself for a while even if you aint im sure that once u start your course there will be someone in your class you gel with and then they will widen your friends list good luck sweetie xxSocial advice on making freinds in a new city
One of the things good about moving to a new city is the fresh start you can have. Hopefully people won't bully you. Some ways to make friends is to join some clubs if you have time. Or a study group might be good cause it offers time to meet new people and keep your grades up. Also just be friendly to people or fake some confidence to go up and talk to somebody.
