Advice on New release cds of country music by older singers?

I want to buy a gift for a friend as she did something for me and I wish to thank her for it. She's older that me and has different musical tastes in some areas. I know she very much likes Willy Nelson, Dolly Parton and the like but I don't now what's what with them and I want something newly released rather than a back catalogue, so any suggestions? hmm I think I understand this just fine. She doesn't like ';bubblegum country'; or country that has a pop sound to it. Some of the artists I listed don't have NEW cd's out, but they have greatest hits albums that are really good.
Dolly has been doing a lot of bluegrass lately.





I'd recommend Loretta Lynn's ';Van Lear Rose,'; which came out in 2005 or 2006 and won a Grammy. Outstanding music, proving that ';older'; doesn't mean ';washed up.';
Can't go wrong with George Strait. Look for his 50 greatest hits. Or even his latest cd called Troubador.
Waylon Jennings ';Never Say Die'; The Final Concert would be great gift. It is a year old now but it is a 2 disc set of the actual concert and the DVD. Not only can she hear music she loves but watch the concert too

Patty Loveless just recently released her newest CD ';Sleepless Nights'; and while is of older songs by other artist's, it's a fantastic cd

Those are the only newer cd's I have of older artist's that I can personally recommend. I think Waylon's set with the DVD would be great. I have bought it for friend's as gifts basicallly because it is his final concert and I love watching it. It's kind of bittersweet.
