Advice on getting a new car - need help?

All my friends drive the new astras, new corsas, new fiestas..

my first car was a hyundai coupe, old style. i jumped to a classic modified mr2 t bar earlier this year - but, it just doesnt compare to these new cars that they have out that has all my modifications as standard (( electronics etc etc ))

I want a new car that would totally smoke them outta the water.

Any recommendations??

I'm looking at the new s line civics, but im 19. is this an old man car??

or the type r civics. i get paid just over 1.2 a month, with bills to pay.

do you think i could afford them?

as im told 'civics are for people with money to burn'Advice on getting a new car - need help?
A convertible would certainly do the trick and there are plenty available for the price of a Civic Type - R that you mention (拢18k), namely...

- A Ford Focus CC

- A Renault Megane CC

- A Vauxhall Astra CC

- A Mazda MX-5

On the other hand, a solid alternative to the Type - R is the fabulous Ford Focus ST.Advice on getting a new car - need help?
I would go for a Mazda 2.

Has a lot more luxuries than any of the cars that you mentioned.

6 airbags, rain sensors, light sensors.. to name a few
a new S-Type Civic should be as much to insure as an MR2.

The 2.2CDTI engine is actually the second fastest engine in the Civic, The Type R is first. I wouldn't say you need to have money to burn to own one. I've never heard of that and there are 2 civic's in my house (New shape and an old 98)

you might want to look at a Japanese import if you want value for money, but will need to fit an alarm and possibly tracker to be taken seriously by insurance.

Depends how much money you have to go on the car, but what about an old Soarer? They'll have plenty of toys on and it'll smoke a Fiesta, and then some

you might laugh, but the old S40 Volvo with the T4 engine was rather quick and they threw lots of toys in, and being a Volvo it's not seen as a boy racer's car, so insurance might be less than a Civic R. Only thing to look out for is suspension problems on used onces.
