Advice on new computer purchase?

So, I'm getting a new lap top, and I'm thinking of just getting one of the newer Eee pc lap tops (seeing as how I have a desktop computer already for whatever I couldn't do with the Eee pc). Are there any specific brands, models, or anything important to know about when purchasing Eee pc's? Music is my top priority, as well as Microsoft Word Office. So anyone who has any suggestions for how to be a smart shopper of Eee pc's, let me know! Thanks so much. Definite 10 points for anyone who gives best answer! Wrong direction. Listen to someone who knows. I had some of the ultra portable PCs a few years back. I bought my first macbook 2 years ago and LOVED it. Once you go Apple, you won't go back. Please trust me... Apples are expensive, but they last longer, and end up giving you more bang for the buck!
I just bought my new computer. It has a great software for music and runs office suite very well. Here is the model: HP Pavilion dv6-1030us. Includes remote control, great for music.
Just purchase the high end model, see the spec but not the price. Usually lighter weight will cause more expensive than higher spec.
i suggest a macbook any is good for the following reasons


1) very simple to use out of the box you can do many things


2) no need for anti-virus which means less money spent on up keep


3) it has just 1 version for it OS (operating system) so you don't have to choose a specific one like windows


4) the screen is big and the trackpad is fairly big compared to others i have seen


5) you could spend the same amount of money on a pc but still the mac would beat it





now here are some cons


1) price if you have a budget


2) heats up fast but it's tolerable





overall i think you should get a macbook it's pricey but well worth it but if you don't want to spend to much get a hp or dell since they are fairly good but just can't beat a imac or macbook
