That looks like a pretty solid build. You might want to look at some of their pre-built systems first, though, because quite often you can get a better deal that way. A couple months ago I bought a fast quad-core system with 6 gb RAM for $800. The downside to that is you might not get exactly the brand components you want.
Nothing against building your own, though. It's fun and gives you a sense of satisfaction. Either way, have fun!Advice and suggestions please! New PC Build!?
if you're with 32bit windows xp, then the ram will probably be fine, but if you're using vista 64bit, then get 4gigs. ddr2 ram usually works best in pairs.
You did not mention an operating system without which all of this tech is completely useless.
Sounds solid, but you might want to go with a 2x2gig RAM set up. 2 Gig is barely the minimum for today's gaming rig.
