Not really a question, need some advice on getting a new puppy?

Me and my bf live in a 2 bedroom rented house. We are allowed pets, as long as we pay for any damage.

I have grown up with dogs my whole life, but never actually had my OWN. So need a bit of advice.

Would it be feasible to get a puppy if we both work? One day a week I work till 5pm, but the rest of the days I finish between 3 and 4. My bf finshes around 4 sometimes earlier, will the puppy be ok left at home?

There is a ';dog flap'; already in the back door of the house, so was thinking of building a pen so the puppy can still wander outside in the day and do his business. That way he can stretch his legs and not damage anything-will he be safe? Its a yard. Where do i put the poop?

When I first get him, I dont think i am allowed to walk him because he hasnt had his injections, when does he get them? Do i need to register at the vets?

This is something I really want. we were going to get 2 puppies, but thinking it might be too difficult?

We may be leaving this house in about 2-3 years, because the landlady's son will be finishing uni and is going to some back to live here, and well need to find another house that accepts pets. We are wanting a mortgage but cant at the min, coz they are asking too much for the deposit. I want one within the next month or so, but what if we cant find anywhere to live that accepts pets? I dont want to wait until we can get a mortage coz that will take years. SHould we still get one? It will be our first dog together.

Sorry its long! Not really a question, need some advice on getting a new puppy?
nothing like getting a new puppy

well there are cons %26amp; pros to everything

you could put the puppy in one room when you first get it

put up baby gates etc %26amp; a bed to sleep on

food %26amp; water on one side %26amp; pee pads to go potty

I would not let a puppy outside by its self as something could happen to the little guy as he/she is still a baby

the pup will be fine while your are away as long as it does not get to things it can chew on (like electrical cords, or something it could swallow

puppies need their shots %26amp; this is done over a period up to 4 months old.

take into consideration vet bills down the road as well

as for night time that depends on you if you want to crate or let him sleep in his own bed

if you crate do not cater to it during the Night other wise this will go on %26amp; on. you need to stay firm

do not let the pup have water after 7.pm %26amp; let out to pee before you go to bed then put in crate

as for the neighbours no need to let them know your business

good luckNot really a question, need some advice on getting a new puppy?
I think you should get one puppy first then train it and then get another puppy so then it wont be so difficult as getting 2 puppies at the same time.
This is too long to leave a puppy. Try getting an older, housebroken dog from a rescue and wait uintil you are at home more or can get someone to come in a few times in the day before getting a puppy.

Definitely do not try and get two together, in fact no responsble breeder will let you have two together, especially as you are first time owners.
watch this show on animal planet called dogs 101. It gives all info needed on that dog like grooming, lifespan, if there hard to train or not,and if there family dogs and good for older kids. There is also a show called cats 101 in case you change your mind and want a cat. Hoped this helped. :D
I don't think a 'puppy' would be ideal since you won't be able to house train it while you're out and it'll need a lot more attention than a dog that is a few months old.

A good way to find an answer is to try to adopt a dog from an animal sanctuary. They won't want a dog to go to a home that isn't good enough because it'll just end up coming back. Talk to a few local sanctuaries for some sound advice.
Well if u both work it may be kinda hard. But i work all day with an old dog , and 2 pups. So YES get a dog i kept cages but my duaghter is home @ 1 so she lets them out then i would get home and let em out again. Im not too sure about the shots but u can google it

Hope i helped!

And also i would tell ur nieghnors in advance and let it sleep with u sometimes and tria it well
Chow is the dog for you a chow chow can be left at home for the max 3 days before something might happen. My Chow Chow poops only outside and only in one place it pees outside too it has only had 2 accidents in the house since we got him 5 or 4 months ago.You can throw the poop away.It dose not matter for a chow chow our chow chow was vaccinated well thats what the lady said that we got him from. You should register at the vet's just in case.Well if you have two Chows one might start dominating the other that usually happens thats better than them being equal wich usually doesn't happen but if they are euel they might start fights. You should get a Chow Chow it will be the best choice for you guys.First Chow Chows dont cry but you should warn your neighbor that you have chow just in case so they know.Well chows are independent and sleep alot but you can still trainit pretty easily .
It sounds like your life is quite busy right now and you aren't sure where you'll end up living in the future. I don't think now is the right time for your to have one dog, let alone two.

Puppies take alot of time and energy. Not only do you need to feed it on a regular schedule, but exercise it and also train it, especially not to bark. If he is left alone quite a bit, he may develop some other bad habits like digging and chewing the furniture or other things.

The worst part, however, would be to get a dog and then have to give it up in a few years because you couldn't find another place that accepts pets. Your dog would end up at a shelter and possibly be euthanized.

Wait a few years until your life is more settled. It's not fair to the puppy.
its not fair to leave a puppy on its own for that long unless you wanted to make a deal with a friend they look after the puppy and you do somthing for them and you will have to take more then a week off to train the dog really its best to get a dog bed and leave it in your room untill the puppy is happy in your home then move it a bit away from your bed each night
