New to Make-up, would love ANY advice!?!?!?

Okay, I'm 14, going into the eighth grade, and I was thinking about experimenting with make-up. I don't want anything noticeable, just something to hide the shiny redness of teen skin. Any advice would be great.

And if not make-up (i don't wanna look like a cheapo barbie doll, no offense) anybody have any tips for skin care to get rid of redness, large pores, and some average teen acne? specific products would be helpful. thank you!New to Make-up, would love ANY advice!?!?!?
For makeup use i.d bare minerals, it is fresh looking and dosen't give you acne. Or Bare naturals by Almay*. Stick with brown eyeliner, and soft pinks for shadow. If you want mascara go with a brownish black color, Define-a-Lash is always good.

For skin care Biore has a skin care line for acne that helps you not get so many black heads and pimples!

Hope i helped!New to Make-up, would love ANY advice!?!?!?
for acne, pores, and stuff like that use clean and clear products, they work trust me. oh ya dont wear make up every day or itll make ur pimples or pores worse. i dont think u care but im kinda a math nerd too and smart
You've got the right idea - less is more. I'm a lot older than you and I have similar skin (but thank goodness the acne is rare now). Try to stay away from oily foundation since you have large pores. I use a powder foundation from Cover Girl. It evens out my skin color but is very light and doesn't look like makeup.

silvers, light blues and maybe light greens usually go with fair skinned girls. im a red head and they seem to work for me. i don't know your style but browns will look more natural on you but if you want to be a bit more goth or punk or emo, whatever then you can try some black. tip: visin used for red eye can also lessen the redness of acne.
I think that you would benefit from a trip to a cosmetic counter at a department store. Clinique has customized skin care for you specific skin type. They'd also be able to help you chose colors that would help accentuate your features. Maybe neutralize what you don't want to be noticed. They do make-up every day and their tips might be really helpful. Don't be intimidated. It is a lot of fun getting your make-up done. You leave the store feeling like you can do anything.
as you are new to makeup.. you will be excited to try on everything but.. wait until people around you get adjusted... start off with just eye-liner mascara and foundation....

go for a foundation which is exactly in your skin tone.. otherwise people can make out that you have makeup.. it looks gr8 when it blends in your personality... go for black or dark brown eyeliner and brown mascara....You can add some powder for looking fresh for long time...

You can slowly start with eye shadow... single color is good for new users... double color looks shabby if you dont apply properly... If you wanna apply some blush.. try this new product from Maybelline... it is really very simple to use... and I loved the outcome.... try it out... you will love it too 'coz applying blush is not so easy until you practise well....

this is all from me,.... hope this helps you... always match colors with your costumes for elegant look :)... they blend in well for all occassions unless you have real dark colors on you :)
right. so when you load all of the makeup products into the barrel, you might want to stand about 3 feet away and have someone pull the trigger. lol. just kidding. dont go looking like that. but i would say start off with light brown mascara and lip gloss. then as you mature you can go from there. good luck.
Face Washes that work:

If you have bad acne, then Pro-Active. (It's quite expensive, so don't use it unless your acne is really bad)

Otherwise, Biore WORKS WONDERS!

Make-up:

Foundation, mascara, blush... That's all you really need. Just make it look natural!
Bare Minerals is the best.
e.l.f. is good for experimenting because its so cheap, so you can try so many things just to see what might look good.
Most girls wear a ton of make-up in eigth grade, but I, like you, didn't want to. Use Biore pore minimizing cleansers and moisturizers for large pores. Clearsil is pretty cheap and works well for pimples, although in the winter it may dry out your skin a little. Use a little powder foundation for redness. I use Amway. Don't use the liquid foundation, it's bad for large pores and makes you look moe ';fake'; and ';cheap.'; The less make-up, the better.
at your age most girls go way over board on make-up and it makes them look kinda trashy,

I would suggest with your eyes and skin colour to and wanting to hide shiny skin,

I would use a light to clear face powder, with a light colour or clear lip gloss.

Always wash off the make-up this will help the skin, use a face scrub followed by a astringent like sea breeze regularly and once a week use a facial mask this will clean out the pores and make them smaller and it will help in controlling the acne.
I have to answer this one! CLARINS, CLARINS,CLARINS

sold at major department stores has the best skincare bar none. It's pricey but they have what you need and it's the best.
if your tone is bronze go with golds bages and browns if your skintone is dark gowith exotic light colors but dont over do itand if your skin tone is really ligth go a tab darker this is if your outfit fit this catigoergy
try bare minerals makeup. It is good for acne skin b/c it does not clog your pores. Use a moisturizer for acne skin. I use murad moisturizer.
have natural looking make up. wow your 14 have haven't experimented or what about lip gloss.. just some cover up. mascara and lip gloss would be fine.
well for the face, acne and redness.

i would say

Cetaphil face cleanser.

it comes in a bottle at any drug store

it works so good.
im not sure but i think that anything light and natural would be great
Make up...LIGHT! NOT A LOT!!! Maybe a little powder to hide the redness, SOME LITE eyeliner, lite on the mascara...and some lip gloss. Some occasions maybe some eyeshadow that fits your eye color. (you can find good colors for your eyes in the makeup section at any store really.) Then I love to use Noxema for my face...it got that great eucalyptus (sp?) smell and there are different types. (i use original then I use the triple acting face pads to clean my pores) I dont have an acne really just a few zits here and there...and during ';the time of the month'; but...I hope that helped! Good luck in 8th grade, that was my most fav. year in Jr. High!!!!
Right try tree tea oil clenser toner and moisturiser blot off any excess oil with blotting paper use some light colours like rosy browns creams and beiges on your eyes for eyeshadow a brown eyeliner with clear mascara a little bit natural blush with a nude lipstick or gloss
Start slow, try just wearing mascara and lip gloss at first...

you can use an ';acne fighting concealer'; stick on any blemishes that rear their ugly heads. Try not to use a full foundation as long as possible, if you have nice smooth skin now don't ruin it but clogging your pours with thick crappy foundations and powders. I you get ';shinny'; use a grease blotting sheet. Look for them in the face wash aisle.

Move slow young girls are so naturally beautiful, but before you know it you old and ugly and have reason to NEED makeup.

Enjoy your lovely young skin, makeup creates lines.

Sun causes wrinkles so be sure your facial moisturizers have an SPF of some sort already in it.

Most importantly WASH YOUR FACE BEFORE BED every night no matter what. Makeup left on over night will cause the worst acne EVER!!! Use a pour reducing cleanser.

Welcome to women hood!
less is more.

nuetragena 8 hour stuff works well for pimples.
try clean and clear scrubing face cleanser for the acne. and for the redness just use some foundation and powder. cover girl has great foundation. and maybe just apply some mascara and a little eye shadow. cover girl has tons of eye shadow colors and i bought some mascara a couple of years ago that just tints the lashes a little doesnt give that clumped look. i think its by neutrogena (spelling ?) the tube was light blushish purple with a grey top. they do make lotion that is suppose to help with redness but i have tried a few and none have ever helped. good luck.
Covergirl Simply Powder is the best face coverage you could possibly buy (#505 for your fairness or the lighter shade). It evens out your skin tone like a base but gives you a powder finish. For those problem, red spots gently apply a light concealer with a q-tip, then blend around the edge, for a seamless effect, before the powder. Be careful with the concealer on areas that are broken or scabbed, though - it will stick to them more. Rimmel of London has a nice blush color, I use Blush. Rimmel also has a great eyeliner - go for a light brown. Apply this lightly just under your bottom lashes to the middle of your pupil. For your lashes, use Great Lash by Maybelline, you should get black-brown for a natural look - black will be too harsh on your fair skin. Make sure you scrape the excess mascara off of the brush before you begin. Start from the root of your lashes and roll the brush as you sweep it out to the tips, so you get coverage the entire length of your lashes. Be careful! and don't flinch. It may take some practice! For your lips, I would use Covergirl Lipslicks in Demure, OR, Wet-n-Wild lip gloss (glitter in it - but not too much!) in Blushing or Clear. Wash your face with Neutrogena every night before bed so your skin stays free of bacteria that causes breakouts.

By the way, make-up doesn't cause wrinkles - aging, pulling on your skin, and the sun does. I'm 33. I don't have any wrinkles (yet!), and I have been wearing make-up since I was 12. Good luck, and have fun experimenting!
you could try pro-active or cover girl. Cover girl has some nice, soft make-up.
I have shiny red teen skin too, and it sucks, huh? Well, what is great for large pores is Biore pore minimizing cleansers and moisturizers. As far as makeup, use Almay smart shade makeup, it covers anything and blends to you exact skin tone, then, use Almay concealer, and loose powder. If you want to not look too overdone, I suggest just using MAC twist up eyeliner in Earthline, with no mascara or shadow, it makes your eyes look bigger without making you look like you're wearing a ton of makeup.
i would go for some light black eye liner and i would go for the browns not blues. i mean its makeup you dont have to where it.
