Since your going to be the new girl, everyone will be curious about you. Some will approach and some won't. Just be yourself. Personally, I would be slow to make too much known about myself, you know, reserve. oh hun i now how you feel. I have moved 8 times since i was 3(im 14 now) the only thing you can do is hold your head up high and interduce yourself to people. I was the new kid in school a lot. By the time I was 15 I had been to 15 different schools. This is what I learned. Do not rush into a friendship. You are the new person and everyone will be curious about you, especially at a small school. People watch. You can tell a lot about a person by watching how they interact with others. And most important. Smile and be yourself. Someone will see that smile and want to know you. Join in an activity choir, chess, sports, anything and the chances are doubled because you will already have something in common. Have Fun at the new school.

Don't be desperate... you'll make friends soon... I am a new student in my university, I did not know anyone in my classroom, there are 64 students and I already had to explain a project in front of the class to them.. I am meeting them bit-a-bit... it takes time to meet everyone. Go ahead and you'll get to know people!
Join clubs and get involved in sports. Don't get attached to a clique right away. Spread yourself around and find kids you gravitate towards. Smile a lot and don't be afraid to walk up to someone who looks nice and say, ';Hi, I'm ____. I think we have science together.'; (Or whatever!) Everyone is as nervous as you are and a little friendliness will go a long way.
You can keep in contact with your friends through instant messaging and if they're close-by, see them on the weekends.
you wont miss your friends if you make new ones so try to make new friends by doing stuff at your schoool

Which Digital Camera ';SLR'; should I advice my friend to buy (New Canon 350D or Old Canon 20D)?
My friends asked my to choose from two digital camera models (New Canon 350D or Old Canon 20D) and tell him to buy one of them. I suggest that he can buy Canon Rebel XT 350D because it is cheaper and lighter than Canon 20D. I am not sure if I told him the truth depending on only two factors. The price and the weight. The 20D has been replaced by the 30D, but even the most ardent Canonites agree that the changes didn't justify a new model number. The 30D has a slightly larger back screen and 1 or 2 other minute changes. It's not faster or better in any way however, and nothing has changed with regard to the sensor or image quality.
The 20D was, and still is a major step up from the 350D.
If your friend is a serious photographer, he'll appreciate the extra features of the 20D. The 20D also has a much better build quality, and the shutter is rated to last twice as long as that of the 350D. The extra price is entirely justified.
Also, I don't believe that the extra weight is a point against the 20D. I personally feel that the 350D is too small and light!

OK I got offered a great job in Portland, Oregon. I live in Idaho. The job is just too good to pass up, so I'll have to leave everyone I know behind and start fresh in Portland.

You know its over when u have tried everything to make it work, yet it doesnt. Its never easy to let go of something u care about but sometimes thats the best thing to do. I was married for 11 years, with him for 14 and we also had love in our relationship, but there was something missing. I found myself crying all the time, taking drives to nowhere and crying, I was just sooo unhappy I was making him miserable. I had tried everything I knew to get us back on track, but nothing would help. After being together for that long, he was such a habit that I thought it would kill us both before we managed to accept it all. I hurt as he did when I asked him for divorce. It wasnt something I wanted, because nobody ever wants to admit failure, but I knew its what we had to do.
We parted as friends, no bitterness but still alot of hurt within us. We remained friends but accepted that we werent able to be together as a couple. It was truly for the best. He was holding me back and I was holding him back. We just couldnt meet in the middle.
I know its hard to make the decision, but if it cant work, it just cant. Sometimes its better to let someone go than to hang onto them.

Trust me, I stayed in for seven years because of love and it just wasn't enough for me to acheive who I really was. He was not happy with me the way I really wanted to be and it made both of us misreable. Parting was hard at first, because we did love one another, but the end result is, we are both better and happier because we split.

Not really a question, need some advice on getting a new puppy?
Me and my bf live in a 2 bedroom rented house. We are allowed pets, as long as we pay for any damage.
I have grown up with dogs my whole life, but never actually had my OWN. So need a bit of advice.
Would it be feasible to get a puppy if we both work? One day a week I work till 5pm, but the rest of the days I finish between 3 and 4. My bf finshes around 4 sometimes earlier, will the puppy be ok left at home?
There is a ';dog flap'; already in the back door of the house, so was thinking of building a pen so the puppy can still wander outside in the day and do his business. That way he can stretch his legs and not damage anything-will he be safe? Its a yard. Where do i put the poop?
When I first get him, I dont think i am allowed to walk him because he hasnt had his injections, when does he get them? Do i need to register at the vets?
This is something I really want. we were going to get 2 puppies, but thinking it might be too difficult?
We may be leaving this house in about 2-3 years, because the landlady's son will be finishing uni and is going to some back to live here, and well need to find another house that accepts pets. I would not let a puppy outside by its self as something could happen to the little guy as he/she is still a baby
the pup will be fine while your are away as long as it does not get to things it can chew on (like electrical cords, or something it could swallow
puppies need their shots %26amp; this is done over a period up to 4 months old.

I would not let a puppy outside by its self as something could happen to the little guy as he/she is still a baby
the pup will be fine while your are away as long as it does not get to things it can chew on (like electrical cords, or something it could swallow
puppies need their shots %26amp; this is done over a period up to 4 months old.

k..so this gurl broke up with her BF 3 months ago (went out for a yr) cuz he cheated on her. so she randomly started talkin to me like 3 weeks ago. We talked like everynight n started hanging out at skool. I asked her out 2 fridays ago and she said yes. She has yet to come to terms with what has happened and intends to use your decision as a way to work out her problems without having to do anything. You will not get any commitment from her, as she is not in that place right now.

I was let go from my last job, advice on how to explain this to new employers?
I was recently let go from the job I was working at. My manager sat me down and told me basically that she liked me as a person, and that I was very responsible and efficient in most aspects of the job, but that my energy/personality simply wasn't right. This was a sales job that required us to be very outgoing and bubbly, and my manager didn't think that I was meeting the expectations of this particular role.
My question is how to go about explaining this to future employers. Should I eliminate this job from my resume to avoid questions about it (but then how to explain the gap in employment history?), or should I try to explain the situation? I feel like telling a future employer that I wasn't meeting job expectations won't exactly inspire them to hire me.I was let go from my last job, advice on how to explain this to new employers?

Its a good thing that I worked at the store but not for them directly. The store employed the company I worked for, that is why I was there.
my advice to you amy, would be to focus your interviewers attention on how motivated you are when you really believe in the product or service you will be selling with your new employer.
Explain the down side of your previous employers product and how inferior it is to the beneficial needs of your customers as compared to the product you will soon be selling for the betterment of all lucky enough to be considered one of your clients
A) Do not leave off resume, they could find out in their back ground check, and you are sure not to get hired in a new job
B) Be honest
C) A good explanation would be that you were told that you were not meeting their expectations, but you were not given a lot of detail on what those expectations were prior to being hired, and at dismissal time.
Be frank. If your personality isn't geared toward a sales position (most people's aren't) apply for jobs in other areas and tell the new interviewer the same thing you just wrote about yourself in this question.
Best of luck, you sound like someone who will find the right job/personality mix.

You do not want to lie about it which is what you'd be doing by keeping it off your resume completely. Just when they ask something about it, say something like: ';Well the job was not the perfect fit for me and I discovered that while working there so I was a little miserable, to be honest. So I decided to apply for this job because I thought it fits my interest better.'; However you can tweak it a little to sound more proffesional..l0l I hope I helped...Good Luck!

If you gained a lot of experience from this job and its imparitive to any future jobs to say you had the experience, then just put it down.

Well unfortunately this is not the best situation to be in but your job is to MAKE the best out of the situation. You do not want to lie about it which is what you'd be doing by keeping it off your resume completely. Just when they ask something about it, say something like: ';Well the job was not the perfect fit for me and I discovered that while working there so I was a little miserable, to be honest. So I decided to apply for this job because I thought it fits my interest better.'; However you can tweak it a little to sound more proffesional..l0l I hope I helped...Good Luck!

I have read alot of answers here and you all have given some good advice so I thought I would come to the experts. I am a Dell person. I do not want a Mac. I have been disappointed in Dell's customer service lately but TG I do not need them often. So if Dell is the best bang for my buck I will go with them.
I am moving to a area that has a private phone company. Internet is provided but I would probably go WIFI or Wireless once I learn what that means. I never had a laptop but I need one now for home and RV, plus a desktop at home.
Usage: Mainly internet, email, photoshops.
Rarely: word and excel but I do want option.
I do not understand Vista Operating systems. The differences?
I have MS so I don't want a mini laptop and I am in no way rich to afford the thousand dollar computers either. I want them to be compatible with each other and buy just one printer. Any advice?

It is common to setup a home network with a combined wifi and direct plug in router to do this. Cable takes 2 boxes (usually), a cable modem and a combined direct connect and wifi router. Most home Wifi boxes have 4 direct connect ports (RJ47 network cables). Dsl (att.com for instance) uses 1 box (combined modem and router) with 4 direct connect ports.
';Wireless'; seems to refer to a wide-area wireless connection via a cellphone air card. You would need both an ';aircard'; (upto $200) and the connection (about $60/mo). If you go this route make sure you buy ';unlimited'; volume/bandwidth. Otherwise they will charge you for to many e-mails/websites downloaded. I have the aircard and connection from T-mobile. All major cellphone vendors offer the product. You need to make sure if you go this route that there is data coverage in the areas you want to use it. No you can't always get a connection.
2) How do I share 1 printer between 2 computers? As long as you have a home network you can ';share'; the printer and the computer it is not connected to will be able to print on it after you install the network printer on the non-printer computer. A wizard will walk you through it. Just start to install the printer and it will ask you the appropriate questions. You can also e-mail many of the technicians here (even me) if you get stuck.
3) Notebook review has a forum that after you fill out and post the form will offer advice from other users. Nearly any low cost (not a netbook) laptop will probably work. I have my home set up with wifi and an HP all in one printer, scanner, copier Model C5180. That printer works through the WIFI so I can print wirelessly from the room in which I am working. If you need a printer small enough to take along in the RV you might find a smaller model but one that is WIFI capable.
As far as computer brand I cannot help because I am Mac all the way. It really is perfect for everything you mentioned you want to accomplish.

first of all i have vista 64Bit with a 1900x1200 monitor (ive also tryed it on a 1600x1050)

Now this is my question %26gt;%26lt; I can only get about 40Fps On WoW on max settings, I can get about 30-40fps on max settings on crysis... and today i got Champions online (i know its beta) but im only getting about 30-40fps on recomended/highe settings.. and about 10-20 when im flying around... On spores Fraps is showing my fps at around 39%26gt;%26lt; i know my pc aint the best in the world but i kinda think its above avrage for pc games. Where i have a AMD and a nvidia card.. i cant sli %26gt;%26lt; As amd dont make SLI boards! (with ddr3) :( so i had to just get the one :(.. Now in my opion i should be at leats 60fps on games like wow, spores etc.. Is there something im missing? My graphic card is REALLY hot %26gt;%26lt; like where i cant touch it lol but i havea feeling thats normal %26gt;%26lt; .. can any one offer some friendly advice? .. Ive just upgraded so i dont wana change to intel or 2 new ati cards :/ :( HELP! *cries* lol

The problem with WoW is blizzards fault. They put in shadows that were ridiculously demanding on your computer. Drop down the shadow detail one notch and you shouldn't have any problems. 30-40 fps on max settings on crysis is good. I don't know about champions online.
You might want to consider getting RivaTuner and setting your graphics card fan to run a little faster to help ease the heat issue.Low fps on new gaming comp %26gt;%26lt; can any one give friendly advice?:)?

Your case should have more fans blowing out than in. You want to create a negative pressure within the case so that new air is being sucked in at all times. You should still have 1 blowing in though.

But what i really like the most is its software called se media manager pro. You have to buy the software from sony to fully use its capabilities, especially in the movies application.
The software will virtually enable you to copy all types of movie formats from your pc to your w960i and what's nice is that the software will compress the movie size which will not affect the quality of the movie. I copied a 5 gig dvd movie of troy directly from dvd (not from hard disk) and the software shrink the size to around 500 mb at its highest quality mode. Imagine, if you have a built-in 8 gigs of memory .

I haven't met or talked to new people for a while so I was just wondering if you have any tips or suggestions or words of advice on how to meet people (girls) and have a good conversation with them.

Just be outgoing and open to new experiences
most colleges have various clubs that both girls and boys can join. Find out where the hang-outs are around and off campus. and just start looking around and speaking to the girls who might be of interest.
college isnt full of sluts.... don't be like the guy everyone knows because u sleep around to just meet ppl be youself! yeah i no that sounds cheesy but its true....if ur you girls will be all over you but if ur not the second u spend more time with them they're going to no ur a fake! Being your self is good because if you act like your self you might meet some girl(s) that have the same interests. Also hang out with some other dudes and they may introduce you to someone. Good luck at collage (this was written by me and my friend, so you have two girls opinions in one anser. What a deal!)lolz

My best advise is to form a click of guy friends and invite some cute girls to hang out with you guys. Its scary and to official to ask for personal dates when you first meet a girl so try keeping it casual at first and if you really like the girl afterward then as her on a formal date or something of that nature. Goodluck college isnt as intimidating once you get into the swing of things. I dont even get nervious anymore lol.

I think you should use XP. Your computer would be a great performing engine. You can install Vista if your computer has DUAL-CORE processor AND good graphic card (with a dedicated memory, not a on-board one especially with Intel brand). If you got an Intel video card I really don't recommend Vista to you. However, my system spec is single core AMD 2.0 GHz with ATI Radeon Xpress 200M, which is shared memory. I allocate 64 MB for the graphics and 448 for the system. I still could run Vista Ultimate with Windows Aero. However, using Vista Home Basic's user appearance really improved the performance. Oh. there are a lot of things in consideration....there is an issue with credit...if you don't have establish credit then ur interest rate would be high if ur dad's credit is in the 700 it's ideal.....and the rates you would get with him would be low....but if it not and below 600 you would get a high rates and 650 would be average.....(fyi each time your credit is ran it goes down a little).....next issue is how much your going to put down...the more you put down, the better apr u can get......my best for you is to do your homework before any MAJOR purchase...now how much a car is worth b4 buying and where is the best buy.....don't trust what other say as if ';oh the car runs great';....seeing is believe.....test drive and i would reccomend test driving on the freeway too...to check on accelerating at high speed...(so the engine doesn't fall out...LOL...) but good luck and have fun in school......Ok. i need a pro advice with buying a new car?

I'm still an owner but he is the main owner and that's how I got my payments to not be so high. Oh, and it also depends on how much you can put down on the car and like a 5 year payment term.
what u do is buy a cheap junk car for say $300.00 and fully insure it then after a month find some old decrepit lady in a nice car .....follow her until u can get in front of her and hit your brakes........Jut lay there in your car.......in your own fecal matter for realism and for its effect....do not move until EMTs arrive and extract you from the car and take u to the hospital inwhich will have lead to so many health woes,the loss of your car.....etc.....That the old saying....THE CHECK IS IN THE MAIL....rings true,.......Hope this helps......

there are a lot of things in consideration....there is an issue with credit...if you don't have establish credit then ur interest rate would be high if ur dad's credit is in the 700 it's ideal.....and the rates you would get with him would be low....but if it not and below 600 you would get a high rates and 650 would be average.....(fyi each time your credit is ran it goes down a little).....next issue is how much your going to put down...the more you put down, the better apr u can get......my best for you is to do your homework before any MAJOR purchase...now how much a car is worth b4 buying and where is the best buy.....don't trust what other say as if ';oh the car runs great';....seeing is believe.....test drive and i would reccomend test driving on the freeway too...to check on accelerating at high speed...(so the engine doesn't fall out...LOL...) but good luck and have fun in school......Ok. i need a pro advice with buying a new car?

I'm still an owner but he is the main owner and that's how I got my payments to not be so high. Oh, and it also depends on how much you can put down on the car and like a 5 year payment term.
what u do is buy a cheap junk car for say $300.00 and fully insure it then after a month find some old decrepit lady in a nice car .....follow her until u can get in front of her and hit your brakes........Jut lay there in your car.......in your own fecal matter for realism and for its effect....do not move until EMTs arrive and extract you from the car and take u to the hospital inwhich will have lead to so many health woes,the loss of your car.....etc.....That the old saying....THE CHECK IS IN THE MAIL....rings true,.......Hope this helps......

i suggest you find out your fico score by getting a credit report.......once you have that, there are first time buyer programs that all the major auto companies offer..... do not accept a high APR, the car dealers will try to get you to accept one by making you think you have no credit....my suggestion is get a entry level model with a/c and radio with an automatic transmission unless you can drive a five speed........ use your downpayment plus the rebate and buy a car at invoice or no more than $300-500 dollars over invoice.... with no higher APR than the manufacturers offered APR.... check the websites for Ford, Chevrolet, Toyota etc.. to find their APR's for each particular vehicle......in your budget for a new car do not forget that insurance will be higher....
get a new car, it will be less worries, come with a warranty, interest will be lower, and the upkeep will be cheaper.....
don't let the car dealers bully you.... as long as you have money and a job, little or no credit is not bad credit.........
Your APR is based on your credit. Since you're in school, I'm guessing you probably don't have a fantastic credit history. Your best bet is to get a loan through your bank or credit union and have your father co-sign for you. Provided, of course, that your father has a good credit score. If not, find another family member that does, and trusts you enough to pay back the loan on time. By the way - ALWAYS know your credit score prior to making a big purchase such a an automobile or home. If none of this is feasible, consider leasing.
it depends on what your credit score is and what your dads is. if you have pretty good credit, then go for it! if your dad has better credit than you do and you have no problem with it in his name, let him do that. if both of you have good credit, you can be the owner and have him co-sign...if you ever have a co-signer that gets approved, than your apr will go down some.

First of all, buy a car that you can afford. A used car rather than a new car because it will appreciate the second you drive it off the lot. Second your insurance will be sky high since you are a new driver and own a new car. They see it as a high risk especially if you have an accident and they have to replace the new car. Third of all, you should be responsible enough to buy your own car and stop relying on your parents. APR rate is figured by factoring in your credit history. If you had no credit, yes your APR will be higher. If you have your parent co-sign you had better not be late on a payment or you can screw up their credit also. And if your parent is the owner of the car, who's to say that they can't take that car away from you if your grades are poor? When I was 18 years old, I bought my own car and paid it in cash from the money i saved from my summer job. It was a used car and I was proud of myself for accomplishing something without having to rely on someone else.
A honda Civic or Corolla be about $300 a month. Yes, your dad may have to be the owner. Also, I just bought my car a few months ago. Always do your car negotiations on the internet. Every auto dealer now has an internet department that sells cars cheaper as oppose to, if you were to just walk in without negotiating with their internet department. I did spend 1%26amp;1/2 or more hours inspecting the car and found only 2 or 3 minor issues that I found liveable considerig it was inexpensive, dependable, transportation that I was looking for, and I got much more than I expected.
The guy posted it (on one of those online classifieds) on a friday and I was refreshing the new posts on cars and trucks 3 times a day looking for a deal, and this guy posted the car I described above for $1,500 ASAP on a Friday morning I got lucky and was the first to see it, drive it and buy it (he even let me have it for $1,400 because he didn't have the spare keys and it needed a spare tire, really nice guy). That is only my latest deal using this above posted method, the last one was a BMW 90 (low miles)750iL for $3,200 (that's a 300 HP+ V12 5speed auto, power everything including rear seats and front heated seats, dual zone climate Flagship BMW loaded W/every option. I have also helped many friends do the same locally and online by inspecting the vehicles for them.

Can anyone give me some advice on installing a new Alpine Head unit in a 2000 Ford Focus.?
Had my Head Unit stolen so am having to find a cheap alternative. Right now we own a VT holden commdore with $4000 remaining on the personal loan we got to buy the car off a family member but as the car is getting older our pockets r constantly being emptied. A few years ago, I wasted my money on some NUMARK AXIS 9s which turned out to be thoroughly junky. Locally, we annually host some large events where we have had the pleasure of bookings some of the world's greatest entertainers (ie: Simon Posford, and other's from twisted records, and other DJs from all over Europe) and we would only use the Pioneer 1000s for these events.

Athlon has faster frequency speed than Sempron. Any MOBO made by AsusTech, EPOX will do... I have those MOBO with me as of now and they are still both runnin for 4 years now without replacement.
if u want a amd board, go for a AMD athlon 939 socket motherboard as it supports dual channel ram.
go for 2X256 or 4x256mb ram of the same make and model, u activate dual channel. it really improves the speed of the pc.
you can purchase MSI rs482 board, gr8 graphics and morden mother board with gr8 price, i'm using that and its awsome as comapred to its price. its a future ready board.

Had my Head Unit stolen so am having to find a cheap alternative. I have this (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/ford-facia-adaptor-p-624.html) facia and in my previous setup, the facia was on the top with HU on the bottom. This caused quite an annoying rattle from the facia, which was quite loose.
I would like to fit the facia on the bottom and the HU on the top, but I think I need a stereo 'cage' to support the HU. Is this correct? If so, does anyone know where I might find one as I have been unable to locate one online.
Also, the HU I have bought has support for MP3 players. How do I install it so that I can plug my MP3 player (Creative Zen vision M) into my head unit?

A cage should come with the headunit, if not go back to Halfords and let them know about it..make sure you have a receipt.

please :) .. Ok my partner and i need a new car. We have a small family (1 2yr old son). Right now we own a VT holden commdore with $4000 remaining on the personal loan we got to buy the car off a family member but as the car is getting older our pockets r constantly being emptied. Every week there will be something new that will go wrong with it. We have currently paid for $3492 in new parts and repairs. It uses a tank a week in fuel (approx $70) and we starting to not feel 'safe' in our own vehicle. We want a new car but were not sure what to do with the old one. Its putting a strain on our family income having to come up with great lump sums every 1 or 2 weeks. Were not sure if we should trade the VT in at the time of buying the new car or if selling it privately, paying off the personal loan and then buying the new car is the way to go? What would you do? Were looking at FINANCING a Holden 2007-current and right now the fave is a VE wagon. Very fuel efficient, reliable, enough room for us who travel 1000kms 4 times a year.. Although Technics is a stellar brand for some products, the technics cdj turntable has had immense problems to the point where Technics has discontinued making cd turntables. I was very excited before they came out, but it wasn't long before the word spread about the quality of it.
The leading professional standard in CDJ technology is PIONEER. The Pioneer 800 and 1000 are both solid powerful units that are durable, and preferred by the professionals. A few years ago, I wasted my money on some NUMARK AXIS 9s which turned out to be thoroughly junky. Locally, we annually host some large events where we have had the pleasure of bookings some of the world's greatest entertainers (ie: Simon Posford, and other's from twisted records, and other DJs from all over Europe) and we would only use the Pioneer 1000s for these events.
The best advice is to not take anyone's word for it, and RESEARCH THE PRODUCT BEFORE YOU SPEND THE MONEY! Read opinions online, watch opinions on youtube, and just look around. E-mail DJs and record labels and ask what they think is good.

Usually, I like to recommend people decide what they intend to do with the computer, then go find an off-the-shelf model that contains excellent software to do those kinds of jobs. Then they save money on puchasing add-on software or devices.
Athlon has faster frequency speed than Sempron. Any MOBO made by AsusTech, EPOX will do... I have those MOBO with me as of now and they are still both runnin for 4 years now without replacement.
if u want a amd board, go for a AMD athlon 939 socket motherboard as it supports dual channel ram.
go for 2X256 or 4x256mb ram of the same make and model, u activate dual channel. it really improves the speed of the pc.
you can purchase MSI rs482 board, gr8 graphics and morden mother board with gr8 price, i'm using that and its awsome as comapred to its price. its a future ready board.

well if your not into budget i prefer you use INTEL boards, it has hyper threading technology which makes your system into boost, long lasting lifespan and heat free unit and geforce7 for video card atleast 128mb and 1gb of ram DDR2. for the power suply pic the highest voltage i think 450 watts.
if your into amd choose the 64bit-sempron for best computing performance.
try to find a board that has ';PCI EXPRESS'; it has more speed and quality than agp
