I'm Going to New York City this Wensday, any advice?

New York City is my favorite place in the entire world, and I'm going there for the second time. Last time was only there for 3 days but this time I'm there for eight days. Could anyone who lives in NYC give me some advice about what to do and stuff like that?

(Oh, and how NOT to look like a naive tourist.) Thank you :-)I'm Going to New York City this Wensday, any advice?
Don't gawk or point no matter what you see and ya could see anything here. New Yorkersmight slow down but rarely stop for anything. It invites uninvited attention.

When taking pictures in a busy area, get the shot as quick as you can. Nothing irks us more that politely waiting for someone to snap the shot and then they start fussing with the camera and moving people about and still expect that no one is gonna cross their line of vision and mess up the picture.

Get a MetroCard for the bus and subway, no more tokens and the bus only takes exact change. Step lively getting on or off any public transportation. Move to the side of the street out of the flow of traffic when you want to decide where to go next. The train to the plane, isn't,and never, never, EVER take a chance on a certain game of chance played on the streets with three cards and a fast talking dealer. Get out of the surrounding crowd fast too, pickpockets work hand in hand with the Three Card Monty crews.

One more thing, genuine Rolex watches sold on the street corner? I don't think so.I'm Going to New York City this Wensday, any advice?
ohh hit up the channel stand they have some GREAT deals... i think his name is Ralf
visit the statue of liberty, the empire state building and all the shops you can find.
THERE'S JUST TOO MANY THINGS TO LIST. PICK UP A FROMMERS GUIDE FOR NYC
Don't write anything down. If you do, they might notice you can't spell ';Wednesday';.
Get a metro card ';Fun Pass'; which allows you to ride the subaway unlimited amount of time in one day. Hit Manhattan from museums to restaurants (very cheap to eat in Chinatown). Yankees in the Bronx is a must. Southstreet Seaport is a good place to relax with a cold beer.
don't carry around a big bagpack and 10 cameras around ur neck, then u'll fit in good!

good place to eat--churrascaria plataforma
